Walking Along the Pearling Path, Manama, Bahrain.

This weekend I visited Bahrain, the city of Manama. The trip was long overdue and very exciting. By chance, I got to visit the newly open attraction located in the heart of Muharraq, Bahrain’s former capital. The path is based on the legacy of Bahrain’s pearling era and takes you on a tour through the architecture and the urban heritage of the old city. Currently, Nukhidhah House, the Pearling Path Visitor Centre, Bu Mahir Visitor Centre and Qal’at Bu Mahir are open to public visits.

You start this journey from the National Museum of Bahrain, which in itself is a place worth visiting:

Then you need to take a boat to the fort and cross the pedestrian bridge to start the tour.

My interest was mostly just to roam around and capture the beauty of laid-back Bahraini streets presented to you below:

You can see amazing viewpoint from the newly constructed parking lots across the area:

The houses showing the culture of Pearling are worth the visit as well:

On your way, you will pass through the market areas, as well as many interesting residential dwellings, typical to Bahrain.

If you enjoy street art, you won’t be disappointed either:

In any case, if you happen to be in Manama, take advantage of the good weather and go on an adventure hunting for Bahraini pearls yourself.

More information about the Pearling Path can be found here.

They had just almost finished the Pearling Trail when I left Bahrain. I did manage to wander through it.

Ugh, these photos make me miss Bahrain so much! Those laid back streets of Bahrain bring back to many memories. It looks like you had a good time roaming those streets.
